When NiceNoise first went online
(in December, 2005), I was regularly
asked, How long have you been
working on such an undertaking?
My simple answer: About 45
years...the length of time I spent
in the broadcast industry, at various
radio stations -- programming,
announcing, and taking out the
garbage.

Curious folks ask, How did you ever come up with the
name, NiceNoise ?
Actually, it was a gift, given to me (quite by accident) while
renting a motor scooter in Santorini, Greece. The rental
agent, a young American guy, had a boom box blasting in
the background. I just had to ask, Why do so many play
American music in this country ? Without hesitation he
answered, “Because it’s nice noise !”
When I was assembling the material for this music program,
I struggled to come up with an appropriate name or label for
it. Suddenly, that young man popped into my head and I
heard him say, “NiceNoise”! Wow... it was like getting the
winning hand in a high-stakes poker game ! Clearly, my
station, playing only NICE music, had to be named “NiceNoise”.
Hence, nicenoise dot net -- a 24 hour mix of ALWAYS
eezzzee listening, 7 days a week.
I sincerely hope you enjoy listening to this online radio
station, as much as I enjoy producing and bringing it
to you.
